KOREANS IN EUROPE AND BULGARIA: HISTORICAL-STRUCTURAL PERSPECTIVES ON KOREAN MIGRATION

Абстракт

Тази статия проследява историята и характеристиките на корейските имигран­ти в Европа, по-специално в България, като използва теорията за миграционните системи и историко-структурната перспектива. Това ни позволява да видим как някои от ключовите фактори на микроравнище влияят върху мотивацията на мигрантите да емигрират, как те се установяват в нова среда и формират етническа общност. В изследването се използват архивни документи, исторически източници, правителствени данни и качествени методи като включено наблюдение и дълбочинни интервюта. Статията откроява някои от основните причини, каращи корейските имигранти да се релокират в България, като възможности за нова кариера, по-добро образование за младото поколение и мисионерска дейност.
