Произход и динамика на неравенствата в образованието
Абстракт
The study analyses the trends in influence of different factors on disparities in educational attainment and success by focusing on the impact of cognitive socialization in the family, the effects of cumulative advantages in cognitive skills and achievements, the educational context and individual behavior. Different perspectives within recent researches into education: Bourdieu’s theory of cultural capital and cultural reproduction, concept of culture of poverty, Beck’s individualisation thesis, Lareau’s analysis of differences in parental childrearing approaches are discussed. The conclusions are based on synthesis of results of large-scale empirical researches and the international students’ assessment PISA 2006, 2009, PIRLS 2011, TIMSS 2007.
