Media discourse on teacher shortage

Abstract

The study presents data from a survey related to the demand for teachers in the labour market. The data presented in the study were collected through content analysis of teacher vacancy announcements in the formal education system posted on the websites of regional education offices in all 28 districts in the country. The study covers the period from 22 April to 30 September 2024. The sample includes a total of 7232 advertisements posted for a total of 1858 schools across the country during the period.
