Abstract

The paper presents the practical part of the competency training o f teachers. Before that, it focuses on the paradigmatic specificity of the consolidating, transforming and active nature of ‘competent’ and ‘competency’ in their educational variations. On this basis, 4 practical modes of the competent competency-centred approach in educational training are offered in a synergetic split: competency-based goal setting; competency-based methodical binary modeling of classes; competency expertise of a textbook; competency-based innovation in education. Without this qualitative transformation of educational self-awareness and an attempt to refocus education from a subject-cognitive one for skills and attitudes towards an integrated one for complexes of competencies, the competency-centered approach will be just another terminological pedagogical phenomenon, changing the same status quo of education to form situational knowledge, skills and attitudes.
