Formation of social and personal competence in form-tutor class in primary school - opinions and recommendations of teachers

Abstract

The paper presents the results of a survey conducted with primary school teachers from five cities in Bulgaria. The objectives of the study are to: establish the accuracy of the hypothesis suggesting the availability of educational opportunities within the form tutor class for the formation of personal and social competence in children in primary school; study the opinion of the pedagogues about the educational possibilities of the form tutor class; derive the main methods that teachers use in the direction of formation of social and personal competence in the classroom; and systematize recommendations from teachers related to improving the effectiveness of the form tutor class for the formation of personal and social competence.
