Innovative model for polycentric inspection of network of schools in Bulgaria

The paper discuses particular mode of school inspection and presents results from a case study and action research for the purposes of testing a new model for school inspection - polycentric inspection of network of schools - in Sofia, Bulgaria. The model is highly innovative for the Bulgarian inspection practice and its testing was implemented in 3 phases: school self-evaluation, school peer-evaluation and inspection of 10 schools in Sofia, cooperating in a network for improvement of schooling with focus on parental involvement. Presented outcomes are part of research Erasmus + KA2 project titled „Polycenytric inspection of network of school“ where Sofia University is cooperating with universities from England, Ireland and The Netherlands - countries where the practices of polycentric school inspections are more developed.
