Characteristics of the pedagogical communication in school environment

Abstract

In this paper author makes a brief review of the current research of pedagogical communication in Bulgarian and Anglo-Saxon context. The basic results from a study employing a mixed research strategy based on case study analysis (N=69), aggregated through observations in a real school environment, are outlined. The main focus is on identification of the problem areas of dissatisfactory pedagogical communication, as well as on description of the needs of teachers their instructional communication competence within the context of school education to be improved.
