READING, LIBRARIANS AND CREATIVE WRITING

Abstract

The idea of the text is to present the first course on “Creative Writing for Librarians” in Bulgaria aimed at library specialists – working in memory institutions and training in this field. Emphasis is placed on a survey conducted with the participants, which touches on the relationship between creative writing and bibliotherapy. The aim is to highlight the opportunity for library specialists to show their creative talents and thus contribute to the authority of the library institution. This will make it clear that librarians can participate with their own creativity both in the eventful life of libraries and are open to competent improvement of their writing skills.
