About the Journal

“Yearbook of Sofia University ‘St. Kliment Ohridski’. Faculty of Philosophy. Library and Information Science” is a scholarly publication devoted to the study of theoretical and applied aspects of library and information science.

The Yearbook provides a platform for academic publications by established scholars, early-career researchers, and doctoral students. It publishes original scholarly manuscripts in the following main areas:

• Book and documentary heritage: history of the book, history of libraries, and history of bibliography.

• Contemporary library science: theory, methodology, and innovative practices in the library field.

• Information technologies: digitization, information systems, and communication technologies in scholarly and cultural infrastructure.

• Education and cultural policy: library and information education, management of cultural institutions, and analyses of cultural policy.

• The series also includes: results of defended doctoral dissertations, as well as overviews of the academic activities of the Department.
