Abstract

The aim of this paper is to provide a brief history of the emergence and trends in the development of Artificial Intelligence, presenting in general terms its practical, economic
and social significance and justifying the reasons that have necessitated the adoption of legal regulation within the European Union. The article briefly presents the scope of legal regulation
and the main legal trends, as well as the objectives set by the new legal framework, while expressing reservations about the quality of the regulation, given that new legal institutes are being created for the first time and new social relations are being regulated for the first time, and the maturity of the regulation is to be tested in the course of law enforcement and future disputes that will inevitably arise. In the preparation of the paper, scientific methods such as desk research, comparative legal analysis and methods of legal interpretation have been used
