About the Journal

Studia Archaeologica Universitatis Serdicensis (hereinafter SAUS) is a scholarly archaeological journal issued byt the Department of Archaeology at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". It is published annually as a bilingual double-blind peer-reviewed periodical by the St. Kliment Ohridski University Press.
The journal reflects the academic mission of the Department and the collaborative efforts of its contributors and an editorial team composed of distinguished scholars affiliated with Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and academic institutions abroad.
SAUS accepts submissions in both Bulgarian and English and serves a Bulgarian and international readership, upholding high standards of quality through a rigorous peer-review and editorial process. Articles and materials are systematically organized into thematic sections covering a broad spectrum of topics within the field of archaeology.
