Current social and value aspects of student civil activity

Abstract

The study focus is directed towards the ever-increasing (including and the need for) activity of students in their role as citizens. This is done in the background tracking „roots“ of the concept of university autonomy and student participation in public life, as well as background of the crisis processes at the global level and in a specific context - student civil protests in Bulgaria in 2013–2014, reached its climax during the occupation of academic spaces - entire buildings, individual audience or other public spaces. Has tracked social and general demographic profile of participants in the student protest, organization of activities, key events, key messages and their pedagogical projection in society and to the participants in the events. The role and place of the academic community as a whole in the process of formation of civil society. Conclusions are the results of this period of intense student civic engagement and outlined trends on the future and development.
