Research on managerial competencies of the head of residential child care

Abstract

In this paper are presented theories for successful residential child care. As a key factor stands out the direct leadership and the qualities and skills of the manager in these units. A scientific work on building a competence model for management of residential child care is of great importance to the recruitment and development of good professionals. In this paper are presented the results of a survey of executives and employees of residential child care, built on the basis of theoretical model of managerial competencies.
