Abstract

The research paper presents and typologizes the main models of nature and tech nology in Matvey Valev’s later works. These models’ positive and negative aspects are connect ed to the presence of a vital force (élan vital), that is fundamental to the examined works’ onto logical reality. Through the application of this vital force, Valev’s main characters accomplish  a temporary unification of modernity’s fragmented living experience, evident in the division  between nature and culture.
