Leisure time of pedagogues during the period of university education and the professional activity

The educational system is rapidly developing, and the ways of working are evolving along with the requirements to the pedagogical specialists in all educational aspects. This is a prerequisite for changes inside and outside their professional engagements. The leisure time and preferred activities are mean of maintaining the psychological and mental balance and personal professional development. To maintain their psycho-physical strength and endurance and to improve their pedagogical skills, educators reconsider their leisure time activities and activities in their personal program for recreation and recovery. The study presents the results of systematic observations and an empirical assessment involving current and future pedagogical specialists in Bulgaria. The aim is to outline the profile of their leisure time according to their opinion about it, its duration, content and structure, the connection with the professional activity and personal realization and satisfaction. The study monitors and analyses the teachers’ evaluation of their own leisure time, depending on the stage of their educational and career development and the activities in which they use it. The current work is also discussing in connection of the long remote learning in a digital setting in last year.
