In the terminological substantiation of the issue there are author’s defiitions
of the terms “family socialization and upbringing”, “model of parental behavior” and “formation of the ability for effective communication in the family”. On this basis, the study presents results, analytical characteristics and conclusions from a study of the orientations of parents of preschool children about the ideal and real projects for children’s development, the characteristics of children’s social behavior, life priorities of children and parents.
