Methods and techniques of teaching in the class time

Abstract

Thе studies examine the main groups of teaching methods and techniques in the class time. They are structured in a model of four groups: direct teaching methods, indirect teaching methods, interaction methods and assessment as well as reflection methods. Emphasis is placed on some contemporary dimensions of teaching methods and techniques and their consistent application in the classroom. Methods such as research, problem solving, case studies, project work, active questioning, team training, simulation and business games have been developed. Approaches to stimulate student participation and self-organisation, inclusion in socially useful activities in the community, “flipped” classroom, reflective practice of students, etc. are also considered in this study. The main characteristics of a system of teaching methods and techniques are analysed and systematised. Variants for their application in the daily pedagogical work during the class time are indicated.
