Hypnosis-based model facilitating adaptation to “weightlessness”
Keywords:
hypnosis, hypnotherapy, adaptation, self-regulation, weightlessness, aerophobiaAbstract
The authors suggest a model, focused on the implementation of hypnosis as a way of shortening the period of adaptation to changes in the physical environment and / or the related experience or fears, defined as a state of weightlessness - real or subjectively perceived. The general framework is schematically outlined and it is meant to be personalized according to the individual features and the situation, always designated to "empower" the participants in the programme and provide them with an instrument for self-control and self-regulation of perceptions, experiences and behaviors. Possible target groups are individuals with fear of flying and pilots and astronauts due to the specificity of their adaptation in professional setting.
