The Artistic Image in a Cultural Studies Perspective

The cognition-model of the artistical image is not able to cover its many-sided features, for instance to explain its autonomy, its remotenessfrom reality, its stilistic characteristic, the role of the creative personality etc. Besides that such a model creates a disruption between aesthetic theory and artistic practice. Rejecting the absolute domination of cognition-approach to art, the necessity arises of its culturological explanation, which will allow to overcome some negative sides of the today Bulgarian aesthetics. The pathos of this publication is the analysis of the artistical image according to a culturological point of view.
