The present article uses the case study method to analyze the change in the digital propaganda strategies of the Houthi movement in the past three decades. Key aspects of the rebels' online content are presented. It can be argued that the Houthis are one of the most forward-looking insurgent groups in the region, as they have developed different types of media channels throughout the years: from printed leaflets to an official TV station to official accounts on various social networking platforms. Their propaganda strategies also transformed themselves in the past decades and successfully adapted to the requirements and expectations of the contemporary digital media ecosystem. The article outlines the key stages in the transformation processes of the above-mentioned propaganda dissemination strategy.
