The study presents аn interpretation of epithets and other data from the monuments connected with the cult of Apollo in ancient Thrace. The author comes to the conclusion that Apollo was а supreme henotheistic deity of the Odryssae rulers and the population of theiг dominions. The origins of the cult go back at least to the Bronze Age. It developed independently of the classical Greek cult of Apollo and was syncretized with it at а later date, The cult indicates the propinquity and interrelation of the religions of Thrace and Asia Minor.
