Abstract

The author discusses the economic and political aspects of American politics during the period of neutrality and after the USA entered World War I. Special attention is devoted to the peace program of President Woodrow Wilson—its creation, the struggle for its implementation at the Paris Peace Conference that led to the creation of the League of Nations, and its failure in the USA after the Senate rejected the ratification of the Versailles Peace Treaty along with the annexed charter of the League of Nations.
