The author comments on the historical and epigraphical sources of Thracian history of the third century ВС. Putting together the importance of the political presence of Celts and Hellenistic governors, the author contends that the Celtic presence was of local importance and assesses the foreign domination over the Thracian as а decisive moment for the political and economic decline of Thrace at that time.
